C. Drew made . . . both artillery and bomb fuses (and appertunances, such as wrenches) for the government during WW 2. This was not uncommon; many of the tool forgers in this area did a lot of government work during WW 2. They made tools, of course, but also anything that the government needed made. As I heard it from old C. Drew hands, the factory utilized a lot of criminal labor during WW 2 to keep up production.
