This type of tool was evidently discontinued by the time catalogue No. 37 was published in 1947.

"Made with first quality hardwood facings securely fitted into an iron head. Greatly favored by Carpenters as it is not as bulky as the large all wood mallet of the same weight. Lasts a life time with occasional renewals of the wooden plugs."
