H. REED Box Chisels

H. REED was a mark used by C. DREW & Co. on some of the box chisels they manufactured. "H. REED" tools were less expensive than those marked "C. DREW" and by inference were probably somewhat lower in quality.

H. REED tools were evidently discontinued by the time catalogue No. 37 was published in 1947.

"Open Hearth Tool Steel, Polished Blades Only. Not Warranted . . . Packed half dozen per box." (per catalogue No. 36)
