This type of tool was evidently
discontinued before catalogue No. 59 was published in 1959.
Boom Augers:
Used for drilling holes in
wood. C. Drew augers were T-shaped, with the metal component representing
the stand of the "T" and the wooden handle representing the crossbar.
Catalogue
listings:

and 36: "from 2 to 5 Inches [diameter of helix?]. . . . Please specify,
when ordering, whether they are wanted with or without ring or eye."
It is not clear from descriptions
as to whether or not handles were included when shipped.
